We had such a good Labor Day weekend. We drove to Jackson late Saturday and had a playdate with my bloggy friend, Lindsay, and her son, "B," who was born exactly one week after Wilder. They had driven up from New Orleans to stay with her parents-in-law during part of Hurricane Isaac since toddlers and a powerless house do not mix well. I was so glad we could catch them in town because the boys play well together and we rarely get to see them.
Wilder wasn't too sure about the teeter-totter
but how cute is this picture, haha!
Wilder was a total ball hog
Hugs!
On Sunday as soon as Wilder woke up we went over to Daddy G's house to see Paul's sister, Audra, and her husband. They were in town from North Carolina and we hadn't seen them in almost a year so we were really excited to get to spend some time with them. After what was supposed to be a nap for Wilder (but instead ended up with him just sitting in his crib talking and singing to himself for an hour) we went back over to Daddy G's for the rest of the afternoon. By that time Paul's other sister, Lizanne, and her boyfriend had arrived from Nashville and Daddy G had gotten home from church so we were able to spend some good family time together talking, playing with Wilder, and playing board games. It felt so good to all be together and Paul and I loved seeing them enjoying Wilder. That evening Lisa and her daughter came for dinner. There was good food, laughter, and music and a good time was had by all. Especially by Wilder -- he loved having that many people to show off for ;)

Wilder also loves his Aunt Audra
The next day we kind of just hung around my mom's house being lazy.
Wilder loves doing anything "Cuncle" is doing
Drawing with (and on) Uncle William
Audra and Michael stopped by to say goodbye and we ended up going to dinner with them, just trying to pack in all the time we could. We just don't get to see them enough, but hopefully we'll get to more often now that we're a couple thousand miles closer ;)
On Tuesday we went to lunch with Paul, my mom, and my brother and Wilder made a new friend at the pet store next door.
Then we went for a swim at my grandmother's house while we waited for Dada to get off work.
We spent the rest of the week back in Collierville...
We had a Skype playdate with Rachel and Lexi in San Diego and the babies were so funny showing off for each other. You could tell they were really happy to see each other.

Paul left on Friday to go to a friend's bachelor party in South Carolina so my mom came and stayed with us for the weekend. It felt sooo nice out so we spent pretty much the whole time outside finding acorns and mushrooms...
drawing on the sidewalk...
and watching (but refusing to touch) frogs...
Saturday afternoon we went to the Germantown Festival and had a great time looking at all the craft booths, riding on rides, getting Wilder's face painted for the first time, and just enjoying the beautiful weather.
I'll give you one guess as to what he wanted on his face...
Telling her he needed one on the other side too haha
Wilder and Grana
He loved riding the rides and did not
want to get off when they ended
Wheeeere's Wilder??
Showing off his baseball
As you can see we had a couple of busy, fun weekends and with so many family and friends close by I don't see our lives slowing down anytime soon... but that's perfectly fine with us!
